Another great article on the impact (pardon the sad pun) Drones can (scratch that) will have on our industry!

A previous article highlighted the fact that a bird is 50% water, compared to the plastics, metal and batteries of a drone.   Diving (bad pun again) the point home in another way, this article talks about the weight difference - which for whatever reason helps you paint an even greater visual - a mallard: 1.5 lbs, a drone, potentially 50 lbs!

An ag pilot impacting with a drone is of FATAL concern.

The regulator focus has been to discuss Airline collisions with a drone with the main message being:  while we are figuring out fair regulations for this flying machine, please don't fly your drone around an airport. So that makes the open space of the country side the perfect launch area???  NO?  That's where crop spraying takes place!!!

This article has a picture of a cockpit damaged by a turkey buzzard.  It's ugly. Show this to some of your drone flying friends.  Better yet, put that picture on a poster.  Hang that poster at the local Co-op, the farm stores, the hockey rink!  Wherever you can!

Let the awareness begin.
