NAAA ALERT: Beware of Water-Immersed Air Tractors That May Be Available for Sale There were several aircraft immersed in and damaged by brackish water by Hurricane Harvey and the rain associated with it. It has come to NAAA’s attention that they are now being shopped for sale in the U.S. as airworthy. While they do currently have airworthiness certificates still and may be flyable, it is important to note that these aircraft have salvage titles and the manufacturer has taken the position to not support these aircraft unless the factory goes through them completely replacing necessary parts. (See the attached letter and service letter from Air Tractor about these aircraft.)

NAAA urges its members to fully investigate the cost of those repairs prior to considering purchase of these aircraft.

Here is a partial list of affected aircraft:

  • N602KP – Make and Model: AT-602, Serial Number: 602-0421
  • N5202X – Make and Model: AT-602, Serial Number: 602-0544
